Our Story
As a wellness coach of more than 28 years, I know stress is complex; I also know that there are three types acute, which occur when symptoms develop due to a particularly stressful event. Episodic, which happens when someone gets frequent bouts of acute stress. And chronic this is not good at all and consists of a sense of feeling pressured and overwhelmed over a long period.
In all my years as a wellness practitioner, I have learned how to alleviate the body from stress daily to avoid the chronic type. Things like meditation, exercises, eating healthy, learning how to breathe better health, I mean literally BREATHE, and the great benefits of sleeping well to restore health have been second nature to me. However, after the traumatic experience of 2015, a very ugly separation, chronic stress crept up on me in a 10 am headaches form. YES, Six years of it! Every day between 10 and 10:30, debilitating headaches would set camp and wouldn't go away till I took a paracetamol. Six months after the breakup, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes type two. I was shocked! But I knew, since I was 14, I had been an 'emotional eater'. At this point, I was willing to do anything to get rid of my headaches.
